This cottage holds so many special memories for me. My great uncle, the late Fred Blackburn lived here for many years before his passing and we used to stay there for family holidays as we were growing up in the 80/90s.
I knew Fred Blackburn. When we came to the village in 1973 he was one of those who welcomed us and made us part of the community. He was always open and smiling and I missed him when he died. Now my daughter is living in Apple Tree Cottage so the link continues. Paul Fuller
